Instagram Launches New Moderator Option For IG Live Streams

Instagram’s adding more capacity to manage your live broadcasts in the app, with a new live-stream moderator option that will enable users to assign a moderator within a stream. As you can see in these images, streamers on IG will now be able to assign a moderator, giving the mod the capacity to report comments, remove viewers from a stream and turn off comments for a specific viewer. The option will provide another means to control the flow of content within a stream, and address concerns with inappropriate behavior during IG Live sessions.

Twitter Tests Spaces Audio Clips To Maximize Content Creation And Sharing From Audio Broadcasts

Twitter is testing a new way to maximize your Spaces content, with an option to create audio clips of up to 30 seconds from your audio broadcasts in the app. As you can see in these example screens, the new clipping tool enables you to create audio clips from a recorded Space, which can then be shared via tweet, with a link back to the full recording. That provides another way to generate more content from Spaces, and boost interest in your broadcasts. Though Twitter’s still lagging Clubhouse, which added the same feature back in September.

Meta Adds New Parental Control Elements For Instagram And VR

Meta’s rolling out a new set of parental supervision and control tools for both Instagram and Quest VR, which address key elements of concern with usage and exposure among younger users. The new Parental Control center on IG essentially amalgamates the app’s existing parental control tools into a more centralised dashboard, providing more ways to manage your child’s usage of the app.

The “Indestructible Donation” project is a collection of 40 images from Ukrainian photographers who have been documenting their cities, culture and way of life to protect the memories and beauty of pre-war Ukraine. By purchasing one of these images, people will be able to help preserve a piece of the country’s history. The collection has been uploaded on a secure blockchain network, with funds raised from the NFT collection donated to Come Back Alive — the largest charitable foundation in Ukraine to provide much-needed support to the country’s armed forces, volunteers and their families by funding purely defensive initiatives. Come Back Alive accepts donations in cryptocurrency as a secure alternative to the Ukrainian banking system.

Additionally, the film also follows last year’s story about an immigrant father and daughter discovering the sport, and Google helping them become a part of the game and community – a film that drove love and emotion from footy fans across the country.
